4. Austrijsko-hrvatski znanstveni dani
Predavanja istaknutih austrijskih i hrvatskih znanstvenika u Osijeku: 4. Hrvatsko-austrijski znanstveni dani, 24/25 svibnja 2013.
Na inicijativu Hrvatsko-austrijskog društva u Zagrebu (HAD), Veleposlanstvo Republike Austrije i Austrijski kulturni forum u suradnji s HAD-om i Sveučilištem u Osijeku organizirali su 4. Hrvatsko-austrijske znanstvene dane posvećene ulasku Republike Hrvatske u Europsku uniju.
U radu skupa sudjelovali su ugledni znanstvenici prof. Raoul Kneucker (službeni predstavnik Austrijskog ministarstva znanosti, višegodišnji državni tajnik za znanost i nadzornik Lisabonskog procesa integracije europskog istraživačkog prostora), prof. Christoph Badelt (rektor Ekonomskog sveučilišta u Beču), prof. Kristian Vlahoviček (vodeći bioinformatičar), prof. Krešimir Pavelić (direktor Instituta za biotehnologiju Sveučilišta u Rijeci), prof. Leopold Merz (nekadašnji rektor Agronomskog sveučilišta u Beču), prof. Ivo Šlaus (predsjednik Svjetske akademije znanosti), te vodeći klimatolog prof. Helga Kolb-Kromb.
Svojim predavanjima na engleskom jeziku ovi su znanstvenici na popularan način prikazali bitne aspekte napretka znanosti i društvenih promjena tijekom proteklih dvadeset godina.
Stoga 4. Hrvatsko-austrijski znanstveni dani održavali su se pod nazivom 1991 - 2013: Godine napretka i bitnih promjena u znanosti, tehnologiji i političkom okružju.
Skup je održavan u svečanoj dvorani rektorata u Osijeku, Trg Svetog trojstva 3, kojega su u petak 24. svibnja u 15.00 sati otvorili prof. dr. Gordana Kralik, rektorica Sveučilišta u Osijeku, direktor Austrijskog kulturnog foruma gospodin Georg-Christian Lack i prof. Neven Žarković, predsjednik HADa.
Znanstveni dani su završili 25. svibnja u ranim poslijepodnevnim satima.
