Sitges (16.000 inhabitants) is situated at the Mediterranean coast, about 35 km SW from Barcelona, in Catalonian county Garraf known after the calcareous massif of the same name. It is a village of maritime origin with 17 beautiful beaches, a modern tourist infrastructure and with an exceptional cultural and entertainment offer.

Museums:                Cau Ferrat, Romántico and Maricel

Gastronomy:            Typical for the county: Calçotada and Xató;  Wines: Blanco de Penedés (white), Cava (sparkling wine) and Malvasia from Sitges

Nearby tourist areas: Tarragona 60 km (by train); Barcelona 35 km (by bus or train)
